New Cyber Readiness Institute Aims to Improve Risk Management

The nonprofit will bring together senior leaders of global companies to discuss best practices for managing security employees, processes, and tech.

Today marks the launch of the Cyber Readiness Institute (CRI), a joint project by The Center for Global Enterprise (CGE) and Center for Responsible Enterprise and Trade (CREATe.org).
The nonprofit aims to improve risk management in the private sector, especially for small and midsized businesses. Co-chairs include Samuel Palmisano, retired chairman and CEO of IBM; Ajay Banga, president and CEO of Mastercard; Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, and Penny Pritzker, former US Secretary of Commerce and current chairman of PSP Capital Partners.
CRI will bring together senior leaders of global companies to discuss the best ways to manage people, processes, and technology for stronger security. In the coming months, it will recruit CEOs, subject matter experts, and value chain representatives to participate in sessions.
These meetings will fuel the development of content and tools to help SMBs improve risk management. CRI also plans to determine workforce requirements to implement the tools correctly.
