Juniper Networks to Buy Cyphort for Threat Detection


Company will integrate Cyphort into its Sky ATP platform to support more file types, and offer on- and off-premise support, analytics, and improved malware detection.



Juniper Networks plans to buy security software firm Cyphort, which provides mid- and large-size businesses with analytics for advanced threat defense. The acquisition is expected to close within the next month, Juniper reports. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Cyphorts tool has an open architecture designed to integrate with existing security systems like security information and event management (SIEM) platforms. It uses machine learning and analytics to contain threats that make it past the first barrier of defense.
Juniper plans to integrate Cyphort into its Sky ATP platform to drive performance, support more file types, and increase threat detection capabilities to include on- and off-premise support, cloud email, analytics, and improved malware detection. It will also use Cyphorts contributions and solutions to improve its Software-Defined Secure Network (SDSN) tool. The Cyphort team will join Juniper.
