FBI Seeking Access To Another Locked iPhone


Bureau in the process of assessing our legal and technical options to access passcode-locked iPhone of Dahir Adan.



Eight months after its controversial battle with Apple, the FBI is once again seeking access to a deceased criminals passcode-locked iPhone.
Wired reports that FBI special agent Rich Thorton told reporters at a press conference Thursday the Bureau had obtained the iPhone of Dahir Adan, who stabbed 10 people in a Minnesota mall before he was shot dead by an off-duty police officer. ISIS (
Daesh
) claimed responsibility for the attack on social media.
Thorton said, “We are in the process of assessing our legal and technical options to gain access to this device and the data it may contain.”
