EFF, Security Experts Condemn Politicization of Election Security

Open letter, signed by high-profile security professionals and organizations, urges White House to reverse course and support election security.

A group of 49 organizations and individuals — including the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Center for Democracy & Technology, and security expert Bruce Schneier — signed an open letter on election security, issued on Nov. 16. The open letter states, in part, Obviously elections themselves are partisan. But the machinery of them should not be. In particular, the letter takes note of the CISA statement confirming the elections security and multiple reports, such as those

In response, the letter states, We urge the White House to reverse course and support election security and the processes and people necessary to safeguard our vote.
