Dutch Parliament Website Suffers Ransomware Attack

Hackers, suspected to belong to Turkish groups, continue to target Dutch websites.

Hackers are continuing to attack Dutch websites: the latest victim was the country’s parliament site, which was the victim of a ransomware attack, Reuters reports, quoting Dutch news agency ANP.
Authorities responded with appropriate measures to yesterdays incident, but no details were provided on whether that included a ransom payment.
Turkish hacker groups are suspected to be behind the attacks due to the current strained relations between Turkey and several European nations. Recently, on national election day, two publicly-funded Dutch voter websites were also brought down by cyberattacks and were inaccessible for hours.
