Cisco Buys Duo for $2.35B to Push Security Beyond the Enterprise Network


Duo will help Cisco provide enterprises with secure user access, even for users with personal devices on public networks.



With Ciscos $2.35 billion acquisition of Duo Security, the networking company is looking to help enterprises provide secure user access, even for users on public networks with personal devices.
Duo provides identity verification and audits the health of devices before granting access to applications, on traditional enterprise networks and public networks as well, Cisco said announcing the deal Thursday morning.
