Australian Government Under Ongoing Cyberattack

Experts believe China is behind the attack campaign, but China denies responsibility.

Australias government said that a rival government has been launching repeated attacks against it for months. Officials gave few details on the nature of the attacks, but experts say they believe China is the culprit.

While the Australian government admits that the attackers have gained widespread access to systems belonging to government, industry, political organisations, education, health, essential service providers and operators of other critical infrastructure, they claim that those attackers have not yet attempted any damage or disruption.
